If you are a current client with present prescriptions from a GCVS doctor in Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Nutrition or Oncology you can utilize our online request forms to have your orders completed. Medication and prescription diet refills are generally ready for pick up within 24 hours and direct shipping to you is available for food orders, with an expected delivery of 5-7 days. How do I refill my pet’s prescriptions/food orders from GCVS?
You can contact our pharmacy technicians directly by calling us at 713-693-1191 to place your refill request or you can submit the appropriate online form refill request.
How long will it take for my request to be filled?
We ask that you please give us 24 hour notice for your refills to insure they are filled appropriately and we have your items in stock. If you require more immediate assistance we will be happy to accommodate you to the best of our ability. If you require a refill in less than 24 hours please contact our pharmacy directly at 713-693-1191.
How will I be notified my request is ready?
Our pharmacy will call you once your request has been filled or if there are any questions in regards to your refill.
Can I return unused medications?
Due to regulatory constraints we cannot issue a refund on any unused medications once they have left our facility. We are happy to dispose of any unused medications for you if needed.
Can I return unused food?
Yes, we are happy to issue you a credit for the return of any un-opened food products purchased from GCVS.
Can I have medications prescribed by a non-GCVS doctor filled by GCVS?
Unfortunately, we cannot fill prescriptions issued by non-GCVS veterinarians. If your family veterinarian wants to prescribe a medication they do not commonly stock please have them contact your pet’s GCVS doctor to see if GCVS can assist in filling the prescription.
Can I fill my pet’s prescriptions at another pharmacy?
Yes, of course, we are happy to get you a written prescription or call in your prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice. Due to non-regulated drugs being sold on the market we do recommend that you only have your prescriptions filled at a government regulated pharmacy such as your family veterinarian’s practice, major pharmacy stores such as CVS, Walgreens, Costco, etc.

How do I get refills approved if my doctor is no longer practicing at GCVS?
We can still fill your prescriptions. We maintain extensive records on all of our patients and another doctor at GCVS will review your file and approve the refill or call you with additional recommendations for your pet.
