As part of our ongoing commitment to veterinary education and research, GCVS holds an annual Symposium as well as monthly roundtable discussions on the latest medical advances for veterinarians. GCVS obtains accredited approval through the TSBVME. Hours vary depending on the session type. Please review the available options below for specific information. Our monthly rounds are an opportunity for our referring DVM’s to continue their education throughout the year. We currently offer two options to attend our casual, roundtable format.
- Willowbrook Rounds – Held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Texas Land & Cattle Restaurant on HWY 249 & FM 1960. Please reference to our calendar for more details, Willowbrook rounds will continue to be hosted by Dr. Chris Jones at 6:30 p.m.
- I-10 Rounds (Formerly known as Medicine Grand Rounds) – Held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month – starting March 20th, 2013 at Lupe Tortilla on 1511 Shepherd. The I-10 rounds CE seminar is hosted by Dr. Pamela Jones at 7:00 pm (new time), please reference to our calendar for more information.
Our Fall Symposium is a CE Event that is held annually to allow an opportunity for our referring DVM’s to obtain most of their required CE hours through one weekend session. We will be hosting our 2013 Symposium on the weekend of August 17th-18th. Typically, this session is held at an offsite location that is announced prior to registration opening.
